THE “RESTORING SIGHT, RESTORING HOPE PILOT PROJECT
The “Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope Pilot Project,” initiated by the Dr. Keith Waddell Foundation in partnership with Ruharo Mission Hospital and supported by the TWOAT Foundation, operated from December 2025 to January, 2026. It provided subsidized surgeries for cataracts, benefiting the most vulnerable children. Some children had stopped going to school due to blindness. As a result, 8 children were successfully operated on and their sight restored. The foundation paid for their surgeries and refractive glasses.
Outcome/Impact
• Restored sight and resumed schooling.
